The Hollywood Hills are Alive

Every year, the Hollywood Bowl comes alive with the Sound of Music Sing-Along. Apart from watching 50,000 people wave their cell phones in honor of Austrian pride, only at the sing-along can you see sights like these.....

So Here's What Happens in Vegas

Las Vegas is a place of beautiful tacky sadness. The surface is shiny and people seem to be having a good time. However, the underlying tone seems to be oppressive and a bit sad. It is interesting, however, to find little bits of beauty in a place known as "sin city".

Isn't there a song about Denver?

Headed west, Denver called us to stop. Stayed for a day, then hopped in the car to head for Nevada. An amazing place with it's own unique flavor, you can tour the entire city on a bike. And less than an hour away are the most breathtaking sights that, in a good way, remind of how small you actually are.

On the Road in the Heartland

From Dallas to Denver, you go through Kansas. There's not much there, but this wheat field was right up against one of the gas stations. And it was beautiful.

sweatin' and exlporin' : a day in hotlanta

Taking directions from a blind man, a friend of mine and I got lost in the city of Atlanta. We were looking for the Fox Theatre to get tickets to a show and ended up taking an 8 mile detour, solely on foot. Here are some things we saw along the way....
